Pushing on is exactly what I feel like I am doing at the moment, and have been for a while. Not only in my writing, but in everything else I’m doing as well.
There’s been so much going on that I know I’m struggling to get anything done, but if I don’t push myself nothing will get done.
We’re renovating our home. Something that’s turned from weeks into months, and is really draining my energy, but it has to be done. We started with the bathroom, and quickly realised a large part of the house needed – at the minimum – a coat of paint. Of course one coat won’t cover a dark colour, so that turned into three. When I look around at what we’ve done so far it I feel really good about it, but there’s just so much more to do. I’d love to be able to get a professional in to do it. They’d probably complete it in a week. However, that’s not an option so we’re pushing on.
My writing is slowly moving forward. I wish it was faster, but like I said I really feel drained. I have had some great feedback on the first half of the manuscript, which has been rewritten, and edited a few times already. I’m now pushing on with the final few chapters.
